The Radix project strengthens women’s, feminist and LGBTIQA+ organisations in Spain by providing funding, support, training and spaces for encounter and reflection.
We empower these organisations so they can continue playing a key role in protecting, promoting and raising awareness of the fundamental rights of women and girls, from an intersectional, anti-racist and decolonial perspective.
Radix is an initiative of Calala Women’s Fund and the the association Otro Tiempo, co-funded by the European Union. We walk together in this project, united by the values of our organisations, and by our shared commitment, work and experience in advancing equality, justice and diversity.
Within this project, we have structured two main work areas that offer organisations a combined strategy to strengthen their sustainability, learning, and both individual and collective care:

Radix is aimed at grassroots, non-profit organisations registered in Spain as Associations, Foundations or Cooperatives, working in the defence of the rights of:

They call us to action. Those who fought before for us and those who couldn't because their voices were silenced. Those who today are united in the face of growing social and political threats. Those who they are still to come and deserve an exciting future, full of possibilities. They call us to action. Those that care and strive to strengthen and protect the rights of women and LGBTIAQ+ communities.. Those who resist because they believe in a common feminist, anti-racist, decolonial and transgressive horizon. Those who trust in all that we are able when we get together. They call us to action. Those who know that only one diverse and democratic community is capable of building the world we fight for. Those who daily transform reality into for equality, justice and diversity. Those who dare to change everything from the roots up with the radical conviction that another world is possible.
