We open the second Radix call for applications

2nd call Radix
From Calala Fondo de Mujeres we open the second call of the Radix Project (Roots4Rights), an initiative co-funded by the European Union and developed together with Otro Tiempo, which seeks to strengthen women's, feminist and LBTIAQ+ organisations in Spain.

2nd Radix call for proposals: feminist funding to defend rights and strengthen organisations

Radix was born with a clear idea: defending fundamental rights also means supporting the organisations that protect them on a daily basis, especially those that are small, grassroots and have less access to public funding.

Erratum

‼️ To be taken into account for project formulation

In the forms for modalities A and B there is a table asking for the annual income of the organisation for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024, this is an error. The years to be included in the formulation forms are the three immediately preceding years 2023, 2024 and 2025., as stated in the excel of economic information model to be annexed to the proposal.

What does this call support?

The call for proposals will finance projects that contribute to the protection, promotion and awareness-raising of fundamental rights, with a special focus on the rights of women, girls and LBTIAQ+ persons, from a gender perspective:

  • Feminist

  • Intersectional

  • Anti-racist

  • Decolonial

  • With collective care at the heart of sustainability

Two financing modalities

Organisations may submit proposals in one of these modalities:

🔹 Modality A - Organisational consolidation
To strengthen the internal structure, sustainability, team care, governance or long-term strategy of the organisation.

🔹 Modality B - Action projects
For advocacy, community care, artivism, climate or racial justice, hate speech, political advocacy, legal or psychosocial care, among others.

Who can apply?

Non-profit organisations registered in Spain, led mostly by women and/or LBTIAQ+ individuals, especially for historically invisible groups such as migrant women, racialised women, Roma women, Muslim women, domestic and care workers, women with disabilities and rural women.

What does Radix offer?

  • Funding of €40,000 or €60,000 per project

  • Projects with a duration of 24 months

  • Accompaniment and participation in the Radix School, a capacity building programme with training, mentoring and face-to-face meetings.

  • A flexible funding approach, designed for grassroots organisations
