We continue because the world has become more hostile toward those who have the least.

The rise of the right and far right across Europe and the world is pushing back rights that took decades to win. In faced of that, organized women and gender-diverse communities are not giving up:they sustain their commitment and their action even amid uncertainty and precarity.

We continue because we believe in them.

In every collective that protects, denounces, and cares for its territory. In every defender who puts her body on the line to open up rights where none existed before. They sustain life; we stand alongside them.

And we stand alongside them through another way of doing philanthropy: feminist, antiracist, and decolonial. One that trusts those on the margins, that distributes power instead of hoarding it, and that understands care as a political stance.

We continue because we want a world where every person can wake up in a just, peaceful democracy,, with the power to decide the life they want to live

And we continue with joyful rebellion. Because resisting is also celebrating that, Together, we are unstoppable.

Alas y Raíces

A collective of migrant women of different cultures, ages, and backgrounds that offers a welcoming, safe space. With our support they accompanied 82 people across Spain to:

Process their foreign residency cards
regularize their status through the training- or employment-based arraigo (settlement) pathway
returning to their home countries after years apart from their families
reuniting with their children
claiming their labor rights

An association working for fair labor conditions, visibility, and protection for domestic and care workers.

With Calala's support, it has created stable spaces for mutual care. They have supported women through paperwork, guidance, and emotional supporthelping them feel more informed and backed. They've also strengthened their internal organization, expanding their institutional recognition and their networks of collaboration in the area.
