AFUS Seville is a feminist assembly that was created with the aim of strengthening the feminist movement in the region by increasing women's participation in the feminist strike on 8M., The articulation of different feminist groups and assemblies and their participation in the different campaigns and demonstrations that take place every year in Spain.
In 2018 AFUS has managed to strengthen its collaboration with other groups and assemblies in the Andalusian region. She has also organised and participated in the most important feminist demonstrations in Seville (25N, 8M, against “la manada” and for the women seasonal workers in Huelva), mobilising around 40,000 people. They have managed to establish themselves as a strong and stable group of women who are leaders in the feminist struggle in their territory, they have created strategies to achieve a horizontal assembly in which all voices are heard and they have maintained their autonomy from political parties.
With our financial support they were able to buy materials for the demonstration on 8 March.
