Crystal, welcome to Calala!

Cristal-campillay
Crystal Campillay, new care manager at Calala. «I am looking to broaden my experiences and develop professionally and humanely, supporting the balance between passion, activism and work of the Calala team members, to care and care for us together». I am a person connected to life and freedom, the daughter of a health worker father and mother, the third of 4 women and a younger brother, from a family that makes you believe that bonds cross any border. I grew up in the north of Chile, where the desert flourishes and where the country's greatest source of wealth, copper, is found. I studied in the port of Valparaíso, the port of my love, where I developed my love for working with people and my enthusiasm for improving the quality of life of women, who have not been allowed by the capitalist and patriarchal system to choose many of the things they have had to overcome. Currently in the city of Barcelona, I seek to broaden my experiences and develop professionally and humanly, supporting the balance between passion, activism and work of the members of the Calala team, to care and take care of ourselves together, while collaborating in raising awareness about the importance of self-care and collective care as one of the great current challenges for a just society. My feminist spirit has also found in this space a place to develop my interest in generating anti-racist and decolonial practices, in a team that reflects and grows, seeking to develop critical positions that increase the participation of all people regardless of their gender, sex, place of origin, colour, orientation of desire and affectivity. In order for us to move forward and continue to support women's movements and collectives, we need everyone's support. So I would like to invite you to celebrate your feminism by becoming a Calala donor here. It is vitally important to continue funding movements working for justice and women's rights. Support the work of women transforming the world!
