Go slower and with more love
The year 2021 is coming to an end and we have finally arrived at the well-deserved holidays. We would like to wish you a happy holiday season and thank you for all the support you have given us in our activities, campaigns and all the initiatives we have carried out in order to continue working for women's rights. We also wish you the best rest you can afford, to slow down a bit. As we have said before, the pandemic for us was a warning from nature about the need to stop, to slow down and to go slower and with more love.
However, the dynamics in place, the internal routines and the desire to do everything possible for the women who need our support sometimes force us to do more: more projects, more groups to support, more contacts, more ideas... Without wanting to, we are immersed in this dynamic of accelerated growth in which our societies live.
We support more than 80 groups in Spain and Central America.
In 2021 we supported more than 80 groups in Spain and Central America. We have supported initiatives of women who work to sustain the lives of other women, to promote their leadership, women who create their own projects and generate employment for other women. Feminists who advocate for the rights of all and are attacked for it have been protected. We have influenced public policy and private philanthropy to allocate resources to women's organisations. We have done so much... and we have ended up exhausted, but satisfied and excited.
But how can we slow down, be more effective, without dropping the support network we have built with these women's groups whose work is essential? To do this, we need to diversify our sources of funding. And in this new destiny we want to set ourselves, it is more important than ever to count on your support.
Individual donations allow us to support women without limits.
Individual donations are the most valuable income for us because they allow us to work freely and flexibly. They are funds that we can give in full to the groups we support, without placing conditions on them or overburdening them with work. They are funds that do not limit us and give us the confidence to move forward and support women's most important causes.
