The view of feminist activists and opinion leaders
Last conversation of the trilogy co-organised with Mammaproof for our campaign “Long live my feminism!”
Preparing for 8M by talking about power and privilege
Next 3 March at 12:00h (CET), Sara Cuentas, feminist and anti-racist activist, founder of the Migration, Gender and Development Network, y Gemma Fillol, CEO of Extraordinaria - Entrepreneurship for women and the community, will discuss their experience of power, the privileges it brings and how we create strategic alliances among women.
What is power, who has it, how and against whom is it exercised? Power is held by men, whites, heterosexuals, companies, governments, the global north... The rest of us have to empower ourselves. Thus, women often see power as something negative, because those who have power have a monopoly on violence.
But in this conversation we want to recognise the powerful women we share our lives with, We want to give meaning to what power means to us.

After a year where the pandemic has overwhelmed life, We believed it was necessary to reflect on how we are and how we organise ourselves in the face of the multiple forms of violence against women, from a feminist and anti-racist perspective. To do this, we wanted feminist activists from the groups we support and opinion leaders to talk and create strategic alliances.
