The Istanbul Shadow Report Platform Spain is a space made up of various feminist organisations and collectives working together to produce a shadow report on compliance with the Istanbul Convention in Spain. This is the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, and is the first instrument of binding at European level in this area.
At least 9 meetings were held in 2018, involving more than 50 people, in addition to 5 thematic working groups and 8 regional working groups, with the aim of coordinating the drafting of the report. The report, signed by more than 200 organisations, has been presented at press conferences, sent to the Council of Europe and presented to the Government Delegate for Gender Violence and to the Congress of Deputies.
With our financial support, they organised a state meeting of the Platform in Madrid, in which 100 activists participated.
