From 4 to 6 June in Catalonia, we met with the members of our Board of Trustees to inform and discuss our activities during 2020 and to welcome three new members, who will replace other companions who have completed their term on the Board.
Issues on the table
During this meeting, which was a great opportunity to meet again in person, we presented to the Board of Trustees internal and external issues of our organisation, which are vital to advance in the management and fulfilment of our mission: promoting women's rights, empowerment and leadership in Central America and Spain, by mobilising resources to strengthen their organisations, networks and movements.
On internal issues we reviewed policies for care of people, We have also presented the work conditions of the team within a horizontal organisational structure, as well as the implementation of a decolonial approach in its management model, due to the diversity of backgrounds and experiences of the professionals in our team. We have also presented the 2020 Annual Accounts for approval.
Other policies set out were the implementation of a protocol for the prevention and conflict resolution inside and outside of Calala, as well as a future protocol for dealing with gender-based and racist violence, This will allow us to participate in new calls for proposals and projects.
On the other hand, we have presented the 2020 Activity Report in which we have been very active in response to the health crisis caused by COVID-19. Our report will be made public at a later date, but we would like to say in advance that this report is evidence of the rapid response we have had with the provision of funds and the articulation of the women's organisations, The organisation is a non-profit organisation, which works for women's rights and equality in Central America and Spain.
Organisations that are currently facing great uncertainty and concern for their survival, due to the economic and social effects of the pandemic. For this reason, Calala Fondo de Mujeres continues to focus on fundraising in order to continue supporting them. Help us make it happen! Become a donor here.
