The Dalia Fund has awarded €50,000 to 16 women's and dissident social and solidarity economy organisations under its third call for funding, launched at the end of 2023.

These organisations were chosen out of 47 proposals received for meeting the requirements of the call for proposals, such as being mainly composed of women and for carrying out essential social activities, applying feminist and self-sustainability criteria.

The funds provided to each organisation range from 2.000€ y 4.000€ which will serve to strengthen their internal structures and capacities to continue their projects and initiatives. This support covers organisations from different regions of the country such as Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid, Asturias, the Basque Country, Aragon, Andalusia and the Canary Islands.

With the delivery of these funds, €180,500 has been allocated to the groups supported by the Dalia Fund since 2020. This boost is not only in the form of money, but also means that these new organisations will become part of the Dalia Fund's network of organisations. A network that meets and works to generate collaborative projects and think collectively about the social challenges facing society in terms of the economy, gender violence, racism, climate change, political and migratory scenarios, human rights, sexual dissidence and employment and self-employment.

The Dalia Fund is a solidarity initiative that emerged in 2020, during the pandemic, to respond to the economic needs of women's social organisations in Spain. It is a project led by Calala Fondo de Mujeres and driven by six partner organisations: La Comala, Mujeres Supervivientes, Labcoop, Metzineres, iACTA and Otro Tiempo. Support is provided through:

  • Economic funding to strengthen the structure of their organisations, with transparent and democratic delivery mechanisms.
  • Accompaniment and technical training to obtain their own resources and strengthen their sustainability.
  • Generation of meeting spaces between organisations to create a network and promote the creation of collaborative projects.
