What do we do?
With the Radix project strengthening women's, feminist and LGBTIAQ+ organizations in Spain, through financing, accompaniment, training and meeting spaces.
We support these organizations so that they can continue to play their key role in the protection, promotion and awareness of women's and girls' fundamental rights, with a intersectional, anti-racist and decolonial approach.
Who are we?
Radix is an initiative of Calala Women's Fund and the association Another time, co-financed by the European Union. We walk together because we are united by the values of our organizations, our work and our experience in favor of the equality, justice and diversity.
We have two main lines of work to provide organizations with a combined strategy that promotes their sustainability, learning and individual and collective care:
- Radix Fund for the delivery of resources, managed by Calala.
- Radix School for training, support and capacity building, coordinated by Otro Tiempo.
What moves us?
Radix responds to an adverse context for the financing and sustainability of women's, feminist and LGBTIAQ+ organizations in Spain.
Various reports, such as the one carried out by the Dalia Fund in 2023, reveal that these organizations are underfunded by both public and private entities, This leads to budgetary instability and insecurity, insufficient organizational infrastructures, job insecurity, poor access to training opportunities, skills development and economic autonomy.
We are called to action by the organizations and individuals that are at the heart of this project, who are on the front line working for the rights of women and girls, who dare to change everything from the roots up. with the radical conviction that another world is possible.

Those who are yet to come and deserve an exciting future, full of possibilities. They call us to action. Those that care and strive to strengthen and protect the rights of women and LGBTIAQ+ communities.. Those who resist because they believe in a common feminist, anti-racist, decolonial and transgressive horizon. Those who trust in all that we are able when we get together. They call us to action. Those who know that only one diverse and democratic community is capable of building the world we strive for. Those who daily transform reality into for equality, justice and diversity. Those who dare to change everything from the roots with the radical conviction that another world is possible.

Radix Fund
Calls for funding for to boost sustainability, autonomy and collective power of feminist and LGBTIQA+ organizations.
Who is the target audience?
Non-profit grassroots organizations registered in Spain as Associations, Foundations or Cooperatives working in the defense of the rights of:
- Women and girls
- LGBTIAQ+ Communities
- Migrants and racialized people
- Domestic and care workers
- Sex workers
- Women with disabilities
- Women in rural contexts
Important: Priority will be given to organizations led mainly by women and/or LBTIAQ+ people.
