Sindillar is a Barcelona-based organisation of migrant women. The organisation denounces social and institutional racism and violence they face in Spain, focusing on the situation of domestic workers. In 2018, they gave a performance about amendment 6777, which postpones the equalisation of the contribution system for domestic workers to the general social security system, in front of at least 40 people. They have given various courses and workshops, such as the Workshop “Caring for those who care”.” with around 60 participants. They also participated in the 8M demonstration, mobilising at least 50 people and collectively producing a textile poster.
One of its greatest achievements in this period is the increase in collaboration with other groups and collectives with similar objectives, as well as the growth of the collective and the women who participate in it. Our financial donation has been used to support the general upkeep of the collective.
