The Dalia Fund offers €50,000 to support social and solidarity economy initiatives with a feminist approach. Organisations made up of 80% women will be funded with up to €3,000 or €5,000 depending on their size. Applications must be sent before 31 January 2024 to fondodalia@calala.org. Priority will be given to organisations led by women in vulnerable situations.

What does the call consist of?

In this call the Dalia Fund will deliver 50,000 euros  with the aim of supporting initiatives of the social and solidarity economy with a feminist perspective for the organisational strengthening of entities that help to face the systemic crises we are experiencing.

The Dalia Fund is a project with a feminist perspective led by Calala Fondo de Mujeres and promoted by five organisations from the social and solidarity economy: La Comala S. Coop, Mujeres Supervivientes, Labcoop, Metzineres, IACTA and Otro Tiempo. For more details about the fund and its objectives, please see this link.

Who can participate?

Cooperatives, associations, foundations, worker-owned companies or self-employed companies, which are mainly composed of women and which carry out social and solidarity economy activities applying feminist and self-sustainability criteria.

Organisational requirements 

  1. Be formally constituted and registered in the corresponding local, territorial or state registry in Spain for at least one year prior to the publication of these rules under one of the following legal forms: cooperative, association, foundation, worker-owned company or self-employed company.
  2. To carry out social and solidarity economy activities applying feminist and self-sustainability criteria.
  3. Be composed of at least 80 per cent women (members, workers, etc., as appropriate to the form).

What will be funded? 

50,000 will be distributed and the amount of the grant for each application will be fixed according to the number of employees of the applicant organisation:

  • 1 to 3 employees (at least 80% women), up to 3,000 euros.
  • 4 or more employees (at least 80% women), up to 5,000 euros.

Subject to budgetary availability, the amount granted may be less than the amount requested.

Priority will be given to: 

  • Entities led by women in vulnerable situations (according to criteria) up to 50% of approved grants.
  • Entities with up to 3 employees (according to criteria) up to 20% of the available budget.

Who decides? 

The evaluation team will be composed of representatives of the entities promoting the fund. This team may include such advisors as it deems appropriate for the subject matter.

Notification

The maximum period for the resolution of applications shall be one month from the end of the deadline for receipt of applications, and applications shall be considered rejected if no express decision has been taken by that date.

How to submit proposals under this call?

 Interested organisations that meet the requirements shall:

  1. Download the rules and the proposal form.
  2. Complete the form (maximum 10 pages).
