Following the success of our first digital meeting with the presentation of the guide “Feminist practices to confront repression” (of which you will soon be able to access the recording), we invite you to join us on Monday 6 April for a discussion on “Let's talk about life: Women defenders of territory and the commons contribute knowledge and alternatives in the face of the current crisis”.”.

At the event, we will be joined by human rights defenders Míriam Miranda, Garifuna leader of the Honduran Black Fraternal Organisation (OFRANEH); y Aura Lolita Chávez Ixcaquic, Guatemalan indigenous leader from the Council of K'Iche's Peoples (CPK); and other activists and defenders in Mesoamerica. Marusia Lopez, as the patron saint of Calala and as part of the Mesoamerican Women Human Rights Defenders Initiative will be the mediator of this space.

We also thank the Agència Catalana de Cooperació al Desenvolupament for its support for the protection of women human rights defenders in Mesoamerica.
