We support organizations women changing the world
Women's social organizations in Spain they receive less funding and are more precarious.
Despite the Social impact of women's organizations in the country and its relevant contribution to the advancement of human rights, many of these groups live economic difficulties and work in precarious working conditions due to difficult access, due to bureaucracy or lack of technical training, to public and private funding for their projects. This is demonstrated by a Report conducted in 2023 with 83 organizations women-led across the country.
These organizations provide social services with a feminist perspective in essential sectors such as education, home and care, the rural sector, work against gender-based violence, racism, or sexual discrimination, among others.
The Dalia Fund as a response
A project to improve women's economic autonomy and the sustainability of their organizations
The Dalia Fund is a solidarity initiative that it emerged in 2020, during the pandemic, to give response to economic emergencies of the Women's social organizations in Spain. It is a project led by Calala Women's Fund and driven by five partner entities: La Comala, Surviving Women, Labcoop, Metzineres, and Otro Tiempo.
We currently support over 30 women's organizations through:
- Financial funding to strengthen the structure of their organizations, with transparent and democratic resource delivery mechanisms.
- Technical support and training for the generation of its own resources and the strengthening of its sustainability.
- Generation of meeting spaces among organizations to create networks and promote the creation of collaborative projects.
Promoting entities
Social organizations work to address social problems, promote community development, and advocate for the rights of specific groups or causes. of women?
The organizations we support work on the front lines with the community, offering services tailored to needs of people, with a more personalized and closer attention on diverse topics such as:
- Accompanyment in cases of male violence.
- Soup kitchens for people in a precarious social and labor situation.
- Social and labor inclusion for migrant women. Knowledge of new technologies.
- Education for girls, boys, and adolescents.
- Legal and administrative consulting for people who lack resources
